Total mercury analysis in solid samples (e.g. fish, soil, sediment, coral, passive samplers) is routinely conducted in our laboratory. While lower detection limits are achievable, we typically operate with a detection limit of 0.01 ng Hg. The laboratory participates in the Reference Evaluation Programme coordinated by the National Institute for Minamata Disease (NIMD), achieving a z-score of +0.18 — indicating a high level of analytical accuracy and strong agreement with certified reference values.
