We are now accepting abstract submissions!!!

The Mercury Australia Symposium will be held in Canberra, at the School of Culture, History and Language, Australian National University.

This hybrid symposium is designed specifically for professionals working on mercury research based in Australia, as well as international researchers whose work focuses on mercury in the Australian context.

Dates: 26^th and 27^th November 2025

Location: Canberra, Coombs Bld. at the Australian National University (with online participation available)

Continuing the spirit of previous Mercury Australia events, the symposium will be free to attend (thanks to our sponsors!). We look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new participants, and to gathering a diverse, inclusive, and friendly community once again. We hope you will join us!

The deadline for abstract submission is 29^th August 2025.

Abstract Format (please see template):

1. Maximum of 150 words
2. Typed on A4 paper (21 x 29.7 cm), single-spaced
3. Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
4. Font: Times New Roman, size 12
5. The presenting author’s name should be underlined
6. Include email address clearly
7. Author names should be centred; title, affiliations, and abstract text should be justified
8. Please include a short biography (maximum 100 words) of the presenting author beneath the abstract (same Word document)
